Paraguayan House of Representatives passes e-cigarette bill to strictly regulate the import, export and sale of e-cigarettes

The Paraguayan House of Representatives has passed a bill that strictly restricts the import, production, consumption, advertising and sale of e-cigarettes, especially prohibiting sales to minors under the age of 18. The bill also puts the sanitary supervision of e-cigarettes under the responsibility of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Dinavisa), while the import and export management is undertaken by the National Tax Administration (DNIT).
According to Popular on September 3, the Paraguayan House of Representatives approved a bill on e-cigarettes that restricts their import, production, consumption, advertising and sale, and prohibits the sale of such products to minors under the age of 18.
It is understood that this bill aims to protect public health by implementing strict measures on e-cigarettes and related products. The official name of the bill is "Regulations on E-cigarette Health Protection Measures and Nicotine Management Systems and Similar Nicotine-Free Systems".
